Pakistan Society of
Geographic Information Systems (PSGIS) is pleased to invite your institution to
nominate students with excellent academic records to qualify for the BEST
ACADEMIC PERFORMANCE AWARD, which will be awarded during the 3rd
International GIS Conference and Training Workshop to be held at National GIS
Development and Application Center, Ikhwan Education Complex, Barki, Lahore on
March 26-28, 2001.
A letter of
recommendation from immediate professor with the copy of latest academic
results is required to submit to qualify for this award. The nomination is limited
to FIVE brilliant students from each University. Students from city and
regional planning, architecture, environmental management, public health
engineering, computer sciences, space sciences, information technology, remote
sensing and social sciences have highest priority to be selected for these
awards.
The CERTIFICATES OF
APPRECIATION will also be awarded to the immediate supervisors/professors
and parents of these students. The nomination of faculty staff to
attend this conference is also requested.
Information Technology Exhibition
Nomination of
departments for display of
research work/projects during the Information Technology Exhibition 2001
is highly welcomed.
These awards are open to
the students from all universities in Pakistan.
The last date for
nomination is January 30, 2001.
An early nomination is
requested. For award nominees, no participation fees will be charged to attend
the conference (26th March 2001).
Additionally, faculties,
researchers and students are invited to submit abstracts to present
their research work in this conference. Best research papers will also be
awarded with certificates of appreciation.
